A synthetic lawn is environmentally-friendly in many ways.
Saves Water: The United Nation's 2003 World Water Development Report showed that over the next 20 years the quantity of water available to people will decrease by 30%. We need to protect and conserve this precious resource – especially in the desert southwest. Roughly 7.8 billion gallons of water are used every day for outdoor use and most of this goes to lawn and landscape watering.
Reduces Contaminants: Real lawns require pesticides and fertilizers to keep them green and healthy. 70 million pounds of pesticides are applied to home lawns, trees, and shrubs every year; polluting groundwater and sending phosphates and nitrates into our lakes and streams. A recent United States Geological Survey study of surface and groundwater found low levels of pesticides in at least half of the wells tested.
Reduces Pollution: Roughly 54 million people mow their lawns each week in the summer, a process that uses 800 million gallons of gas every year. More than 5% of urban air pollution is the result of gas-powered lawn mowers.
Reduces Landfill Waste: Our BioCel backing material is made up of soy-based polymers and recycled materials that will break down over time instead of spending eternity in a landfill.

Our synthetic lawns are low-maintenance, but do require cleaning if pets are in the yard. Here are suggestions for keeping pet areas clean and fresh.
- Remove solid material daily to avoid it breaking down (do not use a hose)
- Sanitize occasionally with a cleaning solution
- Always hose off thoroughly after cleaning (use sprinkle setting)
